Sometimes communicating with the people we love the most is our biggest struggle. It can feel like we’re speaking two different languages. Oftentimes, we each bring our own historical experiences into relationships and this creates the perspective we have on our connections, forming the lenses we see the world through. Therapy can help deepen understanding of each other and build healthy communication patterns that reward us with meaningful, long-lasting, and respectful relationships. Even when relationships change and painful separations become necessary, therapy can help individuals move forward by addressing hurt and resent so that both parties can find peace to work together.
Self-Esteem Issues

Individual Therapy

Have you ever called up a friend or relative when you were having a hard time and left the interaction feeling worse or made a poor decision afterward? Every human needs support and we often seek it out in our support networks of family, friends, or acquaintances. Support networks serve a vital function for us, but they also come with bias and at times, judgment. Therapy provides an objective space for you to process through challenges, emotions, relationships, trauma, or obstacles where you can work through these complicated matters without judgment to find the best outcome for YOU. It is dedicated time for yourself where you can set goals, receive support, challenge flawed thinking, gain perspective, and so much more.
Family Psychology

Family Therapy

Family relationships exist even before we are born. Whether your family plays a central role in your current life or not, those relationships usually impact the way we think and feel about ourselves. Family relationships can involve intense emotions from multiple people, each experiencing their own set of challenges, which further complicates the necessary communication individuals must have to coexist or maintain their healthy relationships with each other. Family therapy can help facilitate effective communication between family members, clarify intentions, set appropriate boundaries, and create an understanding of each individual’s needs in those relationships.
Young Adult Intensive

Adolescent & Emerging Adult Therapy

Young people are navigating a critical time in development where their experiences, thoughts, and beliefs begin to shape the way their brains will process and understand their future. It is a difficult time in life that is influenced by hormonal changes and the tedious transition from dependence on parents or caretakers to growing independence of self where social relationships become largely impactful. It is a time where young people have intense emotions and are learning how to process and control those emotions while increased responsibilities add a new type of pressure that can be tough to tolerate. Creating a space of support and allyship for these young people becomes an important facet of success and a way to develop much-needed resilience. Engaging in therapy can help young people learn how to regulate emotions in functional ways, cope with stressful events or thoughts, make healthy life choices by understanding and recognizing outcomes, and develop beneficial thought patterns that set the stage for success as they become adults.
Why choose me

I value each individual's identity.

Each person comes to treatment with their own story, unique experiences, personal challenges, and specific needs. I know that every person will need something different and I am invested in helping you figure out what that is. I will show up for you with respect, patience, kindness, and understanding. I dedicate a non-judgmental space to treatment and seek to offer guidance by helping individuals understand their own circumstances and goals.

Affordable Treatment

I feel that everyone should have access to mental healthcare, which is why I work with insurance companies and offer sliding scale rates to those in need.

Professional & Ethical

I operate my practice with the client’s best interest as my top priority. I deeply value your privacy and confidentiality as you navigate treatment and I work to protect your rights at all times, in every situation.

Experience Matters

I have extensive experience in my areas of expertise and approach treatment with evidence-based skills, ongoing training, and continued education. Rest assured that if I cannot help you, I will find someone who can.

Dedicated Support

Sometimes mental health treatment involves assisting people to navigate school or healthcare systems, or supplementing legal documents for employment or court. I do not charge extra for these services and view them as an important part of full-service care for my clients.
